About Airway Management Simulation

What are MedEduQuest airway management trainers used for?

MedEduQuest airway management trainers and manikins are designed for realistic, hands-on practice of basic, advanced, and surgical airway skills, including OPA/NPA insertion, endotracheal intubation, and cricothyrotomy. They are ideal for nursing education, EMT and paramedic training, anesthesia simulation, and emergency airway management programs.

Are there pediatric versions of these models?

What's the difference between OPA and NPA training?

OPA (oropharyngeal airway) is used on unconscious patients with no gag reflex. NPA (nasopharyngeal airway) is suited for semi-conscious patients or those with an intact gag reflex. Our basic airway management trainer allows practice with both.

Which trainer is best for cricothyrotomy practice?

The Cricothyrotomy Task Trainer offers the most realistic experience for incision, landmark identification, and resistance practice. For tabletop practice, the Pocket Cricothyrotomy Simulator is ideal.

Do these trainers & manikins support intubation training?

Yes. Advanced airway manikins are designed for intubation, bag-valve-mask (BVM) ventilation, and suction training with anatomically accurate airway structures.

Do these trainers simulate bleeding or resistance during procedures?

Our airway management trainers simulate realistic tissue resistance. Bleeding simulation is under development.

Yes. All MedEduQuest airway management trainers are made from durable materials for repeated, long-term use in classroom or field training. Cricothyrotomy trainers feature replaceable membranes for ongoing practice.

Do you offer models suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. The Basic Airway Management Trainer is perfect for teaching OPA/NPA insertion and other fundamental skills. Ideal for entry-level nursing or EMT programs.

Do I need special tools to use these models?

The Basic Airway Management Trainer comes with OPA and NPA tools included. For other models, tools are required for practice, but they are not supplied by MedEduQuest.
